Before I get into tonight's impromptu blog, I just want to say, these are my personal thoughts and opinions of current events and my own personal experience. And just in case you couldn't answer the question in the title...those pictures posted above, no that shit is NOT ok! Before we can surpass it, let's talk about it!

I have been troubled with writing about the topic of "blackface" and even the racism that people of color specifically Black or African Americans may face in business. I have been troubled, and notice above I did not add any pictures from H&M, Gucci, or any other brand, unfortunately, blackface and racism and racism in business go hand in hand and will forever be around. Once people get that through their head then we can get to the root of the problem; which is US!

Racism, bigotry, prejudice, and discrimination are all taught and then emphasized by the news, social media and by the actions of some that don't portray Black and Brown people in a positive light. So why fuel the fire? We can easily say "let's boycott Gucci" or " let's get Trump impeached", but how long will the boycotting last before the new Gucci belt is posted online or the frequent shopper receives an email about the latest Gucci headband. What will impeaching an ignorant imbecile as the "Celebreality in Cheif"? Hmm...how long? Oh yea, and now it's the BUY BLACK movement, when YOU really should have been buying black in the first place, but nah...we need to stick together, so BECAUSE YOU'RE BLACK you automatically deserve a discount! I wonder, would any of you dare go in H&M, Gucci, Montclair, Tommy Hilfiger or any other "high end" shoppe and declare the same?

Most of you have spent so much time blaming the "white man" or white people for inequality or portraying blackface when our ancestors fought to not become the caricatures that they ( white people or anyone other than black ) have portrayed us to be. They fought and died for us to be able to have the same opportunities as everyone on this planet and yet you waste their shed blood. You spit on the tears they shed every time you mock your brother or insult him because "his name don't ring bells! You say you can't get a job so you sell drugs and that's the white man's fault, but who did you allow to bring the drugs in our neighborhoods to sell to and poison our people for you to have a record and not be able to get the employment that you seek? Better yet, why haven't you created jobs? No, you don't want to do that, you'd rather go against your own people by killing or maiming them permanently right? Why did you allow it? Why do you glorify wearing designers that only tolerate us because they know "our" money is what's keeping all of their doors open? Look at any wealthy person, and I mean wealthy not rich, most of them walk around looking mangy. They invest, build and take over.

Why is it you allow Jewish, Spanish and Asian people to come into your neighborhoods and buy property only to not take care of  it, but instead you suck it up and complain about the rent! Like what the fuck!? We go to their corner stores, or sell drugs in front of them, we eat their version of what they call Chinese food so that the American public would want to consume it, we go to or work in their beauty stores, get our nails done by them; but how many black owned businesses do you frequent and help build to stay open? How many times do you think they did? How many times do you think they offered the owner money for their property so they could build on it and take over? What does it take for you to wake up? It is Black History Month, the shortest month in the year and we have to share it with Valentine's Day, where's the love in that? We can't expect anyone to respect us or our history when we don't do either! Just like Kwanzaa and Christmas, Black History should be EVERYDAY! What have you learned today? What did you teach your kids yesterday? It is not up to anyone to teach us about us, that's what we have grandparents and books for. Do your own research...read, listen, learn and then teach! 

We can't be pioneers, record breakers, kings and queens if we don't demand the respect we deserve and exude excellence in all that we do. You have to walk it and talk it. Black Wall Street wasn't a myth, those men and women worked hard to build empires that we, the spoiled ones that didn't have to work too hard for anything because we're black and not negroes , don't even want to or have the slightest inkling on how to come together to rebuild, re-brand, and take over. Do you know, that if united how powerful we would be? But too many of us have been brainwashed to believe that we are nothing, we are dark and that means ugly, ignorant, dumb, and many other negative connotations, that we allow to reign true. IT'S NOT! Most, if not all the inventions we use in this "modern world" was created, perfected and mastered by a black person; but yet we can't have anything, but we build up others. 

We, the new generation, have allowed this to happen! When will you take accountability and when will YOU declare a change?

As I said last week and as noted in the title AGAIN people I knew NOTHING about business! I do however, want you to take heed to these 5 count 'em FIVE key points, that I have learned over the years of struggling in business to help you start your own. I knew nothing about business. I didn't know how to start a business. I didn't know how to start a business online, let alone register a business. But with this blog I can help you overcome some of the challenges I faced as a new business owner. Being in business is hard, but it gets a lot easier, find out how I started my business and some key tips I have for your business below.

So flashback to 2013, I'm 26 years old, fed up with working for "other people" and I'm in the process of overcoming trauma. It was a hard time with a lot going on...scary shit FOR REAL! 
I was all messed up in the head due to said TRAUMA and I had no clue as to what I really REALLY wanted to do, other than NEVERRRR leave my house again! All I did for the better part of the day other than wallow in self pity, hate, depression and anxiety among other things; was watch YouTube. Unbeknownst to me, I had been long suffering with PTSD from childhood and it became heightened due to what just happened to me. (Click Here: youtu.be/KgoyDhLBnBQ )

Being in counseling opened up my eyes to so many things and as the days, weeks, and even months went on; I began to gain more comfort. By this time I had already been in business for two years and I still didn't know what I was doing or how to run a successful business online and now I'm adding something else to my catalog!? Ugh...I'm sure my customers were quite confused and maybe a bit irritated by me not being all over the place but because they couldn't keep up. I'm sure they were wondering if I was a jeweler, baker or a soap maker? I even think back myself and wonder just what the hell I was thinking. Turns out, I really wasn't, I didn't know how to start a business let alone be in business. At the time all I really knew was that I started a business and I wanted to continue to be in business for myself. I took the business name BodyGarbage because I wanted something catchy and controversial, that I knew would gain attention and keep people  intrigued.

No matter how you feel or what's going on in your life, take these words of wisdom I've learned over the years starting and running my online business. 1.Pick a niche, 2. Do the Research,
3. Figure our and Get What you Need for your business, 4. Scouting and Survey, and 5. Register your business and Get all your licenses.
